The Principals

Stan Taylor, President

Mr. Taylor, a founder of Bank Capital Group and its President, previously held the position of President/partner of Southeast Bank Fund, Inc., an investment management company.  His career in banking began in 1972 as a Consumer Credit Officer for C & S National Bank in Atlanta, Georgia.  From 1978 to 1980, he served as Vice President for a smaller state bank in the metro Atlanta area.  From 1980 to 1987 Mr. Taylor served as President of Heritage Bank, Atlanta, Georgia.  In 1988, after spearheading the sale of that bank, Mr. Taylor was an initial organizer for two de novo banks in the metro Atlanta area, both of which banks have since sold to a large bank holding company.  More recently, Mr. Taylor was an initial organizer for a new bank in Sarasota, Florida. During his twenty-five years in the banking industry, Taylor managed a multi-business financial holding company employing in excess of five hundred people.  His leadership and management skill thrust his banks into the national spotlight for creative marketing and management of nontraditional financial services.  Additionally, he has been responsible for raising approximately $200 million in investment capital for financial and non-financial start-up companies. His entrepreneurial approach has enabled each of those business ventures with which he has been associated to attain near record levels of profitability.  His unique combination of marketing expertise, management skill and financial analysis will provide a broad range of experience that should prove invaluable to any de novo bank.  This experience combined with a proven track record of raising capital from multiple sources is the reason Bank Capital Group was formed.

Ronney Henderson, Executive Vice President

James R. Henderson, Ronney, began his banking career in September 1964 with the First National Bank of Atlanta.  Since then he has held a variety of executive positions within the banking industry, including being an organizer and current Chairman of the Board of a bank in the Atlanta area.  In 1986 he was a co-founder of Intercept Systems, serving as its President from May 1989 to June 1996, when he semi-retired.  Mr. Henderson continued his employment with Intercept serving as Vice President concentrating on customer relationships until his full retirement in June 2002.  After his retirement from Intercept Mr. Henderson became a principal of Bank Capital Group.

Adam Taylor, Senior Vice President

Mr. Taylor is a graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Finance.  He was previously a Financial Advisor in the Private Client Group of Robert W. Baird & Company, a large national brokerage firm.  There he specialized in tracking high growth opportunities for several high profile clients.  Mr. Taylor has also held the position of financial analyst and advisor with a start up internet company.  Mr. Taylor has assisted with the capital raising efforts of thirteen community banks from coast to coast.  He had primary responsibility for gathering approximately $150 million in start up capital.  He is responsible for training and progress monitoring for all new capital associates. His financial background as well as his experience dealing with private investors gives Mr. Taylor a unique perspective to assist clients with their capital raising efforts.

Tom Rankin, Vice President

Mr. Rankin attended the University of Georgia, Georgia State University and Louisiana State University.  He holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees in business and banking.  After military service, Tom started his banking career with the C&S Bank in Atlanta in the early 1960's and after almost 10 years became President and CEO of a community bank in West Georgia.  He worked in more than one community bank in  Georgia and was instrumental in forming two de novos in the state.  In early 1987 he was part of the formation of a de novo bank in Northeast Alabama and was it's first President and CEO.  He has also been a director of these banks.  Tom has been active in community affairs, such as IDB chairman, Chamber President and hospital board trustee.  Tom has over 40 years of active banking experience and 4 years of bank consulting experience.

Bob Alhouse, Director of R&D

Mr. Alhouse has traveled extensively throughout the world and attended Virginia Tech University majoring in Computer Science and Accounting.  He also has completed additional studies in Computer Programming and Information Technology.  Bob has in depth experience in management of personnel and computer systems.  During his tenure with a major international restaurant chain in the metro Atlanta area he was in charge of budgeting, planning and cost accounting.  Mr. Alhouse has been with Bank Capital Group for four years and has been instrumental in developing programs and web sites for Bank Capital Group as well as for our clients.

Robert Brown, Vice President - Capital

Robert V. Brown (Robert) joined Bank Capital Group in 2007 as a capital consultant.  Since that time Robert has raised over $50 million in new and additional capital for community banks. He has 25 + years in financial services with regional and national responsibilities including Security Pacific Bank and Marine Midland Bank.  He has traveled extensively and relocated several times during his financial career. In addition, he has 7 years success with capital fund raising in the non-profit area. Robert has also consulted with hospitals regarding disaster recovery & business continuity. 

Benton Gunter, Distressed Asset Manager - East

Benton has over forty years of banking experience, having served mostly recently as Senior Vice President/Chief Operations Officer for Atlanta Business Bank since its inception in 2001.  Benton began his banking career with the Citizens and Southern National Bank in Macon, Georgia where he was employed for sixteen years in several capacities before becoming Senior Vice President/Cashier for the Macon Bank and Trust Company.  Macon Bank and Trust was acquired by First National Bank of Atlanta, which was acquired by Wachovia Corporation.  During this time Benton had a number of responsibilities including Regional Operations Manager, Security Officer, Personnel Officer, and Compliance Officer.  In 1996 Benton became associated with First South Bank in Macon which merged with Century South Bank in Dahlonega, Georgia, where he served as Senior Vice President & Controller for the Central Georgia Region and later as Director of Compliance for Century South Banks, Inc., a multi-bank Holding Company headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia, consisting of 12 community banks, with offices throughout Georgia.  After the acquisition of Century South Banks by BB&T in 2001 Benton was employed by Atlanta Business Bank as its Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer.

Sandra Mull, Distressed Asset Manager - Southeast

Sandra brings a unique big bank background as well as consulting history to the team.  Sandra moved into management at First Atlanta Bank in 1979 and stayed through the acquisition by Wachovia Bank eventually leaving as Senior Vice President, Manager of Financial Operations and Systems.  Sandra continued her career with a series of consulting engagements for Wachovia into 2005.  The consulting arrangement as Project Manager included Integration of Payroll Processes and Systems Conversion with SouthTrust Bank, Transition of Wachovia Securities, Inc to Monthly Pay Cycle, Sarbanes Oxley Compliance and more.  Sandra has a deep network with a strong presence not only in metro Atlanta but also in coastal Georgia and northeast Florida.

Randy Harvey, Distressed Asset Manager - Southwest

Randy has served 32 years as Bank President and CEO of three different Banks in Alabama and North Georgia. Randy was involved in several Capital raises due to Bank growth. He was also "loaned out" to other Banks in J Mac Robinson's group to help in cleanup situations and to assist in liquidating bad Assets. Randy graduated from Valdosta State University with a B.S. in Business Administration and was hired immediately into the Citizens and Southern training program which provided invaluable experience in all aspects of Banking. In addition to Banking, Randy served both his native state of Georgia as well as the Northeast Georgia area. He is a graduate of the Leadership Georgia program and was privileged to be elected to the State of Georgia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for six years, through 2006. He also served as Chair of a four county Development Authority as well as the Dahlonega/Lumpkin Development Authority and was successful in helping recruit several active commercial operations to the area. Randy also served as Chair of the Dahlonega/Lumpkin county Water Authority and provided leadership in providing and completing the infrastructure, both water and sewer from the City to the Georgia 400 corridor which opened up development for the Wayne Mason type developers.

Michael Lassiter, Real Estate Evaluation Manager

As president of Lassiter Consulting and Management, Inc. Michael has over 13 years experience in both the site development industry and the general construction industry.  With specific experience in civil survey and design procurement, preconstruction plan/site review, preconstruction budget/bid procurement, and site construction management he has the ability to easily and quickly assess the feasibility of distressed projects. He has worked and completed numerous phases of over 70 projects, totaling over $115 million, in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.  This experience gives Michael a unique perspective into the markets and access to potential deals before they reach the bank level.
